Turning 65 Medicare Eligible – Now What
Most people will become eligible for Medicare when they turn 65 (some individuals qualify for Medicare due to disability before they are 65). Medicare can be confusing. Don’t let this prevent you from thoroughly reviewing your options. Timing is very important. If you delay acting on your Medicare choices, you may miss your guaranteed issue window and you may incur a late enrollment penalty that can remain with you for the rest of your life.
Talk with us 7-12 months before your 65th Birthday. We will provide you with proper guidance and a simple timeline to follow during this important time. If you plan on working past age 65, please consult with us – you may want to continue on your employer group plan.
